Preparation
How we prep
Weighed, wormed, teeth done, feet balanced. A baseline photograph that we compare against every fortnight.
Two walks a day on the horse walker and by hand. Owners get weights and a photograph every Friday.
Taught to stand square and walk out for a stranger. This is the part most consignors rush and it is the part buyers notice.
Tom Ardleigh stands with the horse for the whole sale. You get a call after every viewing, including the ones that go badly.
Consigning with us
We take a limited number of outside horses each autumn, and we would rather take five we can do properly than fifteen we cannot.
